COORDINATIONS WITH REGIONAL GOVERNMENTS
Key issue for the promotion of investments in the exploration for new oil and gas reserves .
Hydrocarbons are a non renewable natural resource, that needs the discovery of new deposits for change the natural declining tendency in the production of old productive fields. PERUPERO has elaborate a Coordination Programm with the Regional Governments with the purpose to present the Regions the own characteristics of the hydrocarbon industry, in which refers to the exploration and production activities, and the potential for the discovery of new oil and gas reserves . |

This programm includes the presentation of details about the production activities and the exploratory posibilities in each Region to the region employees and the local people in general. In the cases of regions with production it is communicate the details of the hydrocarbon valuation for the oil fees calculation, so that regions employees that receive the oil fees could have the security and tranquility that the ammounts transferred are the right ones. In some regions that not have production but have potential in hydrocarbons it is explain the posibilities of exploration activities in the area .
On the bases of these elements are made coordinations with Regional Governments, for presentations at governments employees level. In some cases have been to coordinate meetings at public audiences level.
To date have been made meetings with Regional Governments of Tumbes, Cusco, Loreto, Ucayali, Madre de Dios and Puno .

In the meeting with the Regional Government of Tumbes was shown the exploratory posibilities as much in the sea as in the coast. Little after was signed the Block Z-1 Contract and the Block operator is now doing its activities in a very armonious way with the Regional Government of Tumbes and the local authorities.
With the Cusco Region have been developed more than one meeting since January, as a previous of the beginning of production of the Camisea project. As a result of these meetings was presented to the Regional Government and the Cusco people that the posibilities of the Camisea project are of vital importance and that is feasible to have more areas with contracts for gas exploration and production. In these regions were clarified doubts and inexact interpretations about the Block 88 – Camisea contract. These coordinations have allowed to give a significative contribution to the necessary atmosphere to begin the activities of the Camisea project and also to the next beginning of activities of the megaproject Pagoreni or Camisea II, Block 56 .

With the Loreto Region the coordinations have been ver important. In the first place it's been clarified the concepts about the valuation of the crude oil in the point of control; then have been explained in detail the calculation process for the oil valuation of the Blocks in production in the Region and then have been show the exploration posibilities in new Blocks in the area .
As an important and additional step it was participated in the meeting of Province Majors of the Loreto Region and was possible to transmit the message of the necessity to promote the investments in the exploration of hydrocarbons and taking care of the environment and in harmony with the Native Communities. The message was very well received mainly the local authorities knowing that the declining tendency of the production make necessary more investments in new blocks and mostly a propitiuos atmosphere for the investments .
With the Ucayali Region have been made meetings at Region's employees level and in Public Audience. To this region was transmited all the necessary information for the verification of the calculation of the oil fees. Also have been presented in Public Audience the Region potential and the nature of the oil and gas generation. These meetings allowed to clarify concepts about the location of the Camisea deposits and the necessity to promote investments in new ones located in the Ucayali Region and their nearby locations.

With the Madre de Dios Region was made a meeting with the Region's employees and the people in general, being the event transmited to all the Puerto Maldonado people by radio and local TV. In this meeting was shown the great potential that the region have in matter of exploratory posibilities mostly considering that exists a gas discovery in Candado, north of Puno, in the limit with Madre de Dios. Also was shown the potential in other locations of Madre de Dios; receiving all the support by the local authorities to promote the investment for the exploration taking care the environment and respecting the Native Communities.
To the Puno region was presented the potential that the region have for the hydrocarbons exploration and the necessity for a propitious atmosphere for the investments and the joining efforts that have to be develope to promote risk investments as the investments in hydrocarbons exploration is.
Convinced of the potential that the country have to the discovery of new reserves of oil and gas, and the necessity of more risk investments for the benefit of the country and their regions, PERUPETRO will continue making coordinations to transmit, in different events all around the country, the Peru potential in matter of their non renewable natural resources of oil and gas .
